Welcome to Future Health Chiropractic!
We are excited to meet you and work with you to meet your needs. Please explore our website, and to contact us with any questions you may have regarding treatment plans and getting started.
Your First Visit
Upon entering our office our receptionist will greet you and welcome you as a member of our chiropractic family. We will request you fill out our new patient forms provided by the receptionist. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition.
Next you will have a consultation with one of our staff to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed by the doctor to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care will you meet your goals.
After your consultation, the doctor will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard neurologic, orthopedic, postural, and physical examinations. The doctor will gain valuable information regarding your condition so that you have a better understanding of how chiropractic can help you. If necessary, the doctor may take X-rays or refer you for additional testing procedures. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to get a full perspective of your spinal health. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective care plans for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
After a thorough examination and history have been completed, you will be rescheduled for a follow up appointment. This gives the doctor time to evaluate your case, read x-rays, and design a custom treatment plan that will meet your specific needs. Our goal at Future Health Chiropractic is to achieve and maintain wellness. That can only be done with careful planning and attention to detail.
Your Second Visit
Once the doctor has studied your case, you will receive a detailed report of findings to answer the three most popular questions:
Chiropractic adjustments restore normal motion to the joints of the spine and improve the function of the nervous system. Most of our patients begin to see results from the very first adjustment. Our gentle yet effective adjustments, are primarily performed with a hand held instrument. We are able to adjust infants to elderly with great success.
Patients who are looking for help in improving their overall health and well-being can do so with chiropractic. True health is more than just the abscence of sickness, disease, and pain. Health is the cells, tissues, organs, and systems of the body working together without interference. Everyone is unique and different, and therefore requires a unique and customized wellness plan. The foundation of our overall wellness lifestyle is eating, moving, and thinking well.
Your first visit begins with filling out a few forms and providing us important information about your health history. This information is invaluable in designing the treatment plan that is best for you.
What to Expect
Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain events must occur in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to build the roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of care we provide:
Phase 1: Relief Care
If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better. Depending on the severity of your problem, it is typical to need care 2-3 times per week for 4-6 weeks.
Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care
During the corrective care phase, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, thereby helping prevent injury. In this phase the doctor will tailor specific corrective exercise and traction therapies to create long lasting health and wellness. This phase of care can last several weeks or several months depending on the severity of the condition.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
OUR HIGHEST PRIORITY. Once your body has fully healed, it's important to maintain the improvement realized from earlier care. It's much easier to maintain wellness than pick up the pieces after you fall apart. Usually, this requires a chiropractic visit 1-2 times per month, based on your lifestyle and overall wellness.
